How much do your services cost?
While we pride ourselves on being affordable for every budget (we’re a small business so we get it), project cost is determined by the scope and complexity of each project. Contact us for a custom quote. If your needs exceed your budget, we can implement a project in phases or can offer you different alternatives to achieve your goals. Our priority is to be judicious with your time and money while providing your complete satisfaction.
What is your payment schedule?
Our prices are stated up front and agreed upon by both parties. If the project scope changes, we’ll let you know before any work is done. We require a non refundable deposit to begin work. The balance is due when the project is complete or broken up monthly depending upon the size and duration of the project. A completed project is one in which our work is done or has stopped due to delays on the client’s end.
What payments do you accept?
Payment is accepted by check made payable to Breo Media, credit card, PayPal or Chase QuickPay. Please contact us for our mailing address.
How do we get started?
The first step is for us to ask a few questions about your project so that we can determine the project scope and give you an idea of how much the project will cost.
• We discuss your project via email or phone and we send you our Project Evaluation Questionnaire. Your responses to these questions are critical and the foundation of your design project or website is based upon this information.
• A pricing estimate and timeline is established as well as a list of materials we need from you (if applicable).
• We typically require a deposit to begin work.
What about the rest of the design process?
Once your deposit has been received, the design process begins. We take time to research and concept, then present you with an initial concept. You have up to two rounds of revisions included. When the design is finalized and ‘approved’, we proceed to the programming step for websites or any other necessary files and versions. Any changes you request once the next step (programming) has begun, will be an additional cost.
How will my print files be delivered to me?
The final design files are emailed to you in high resolution. We use Dropbox or Hightail.com for very large files. Logo design files include color, black & white, high resolution and low resolution formats.
How will my website go live?
If a website is being redesigned, we typically will build the new site on one of our staging servers. Once everything is ready, then we will transfer the site to your existing server. New websites can skip this step as we typically build them wherever they will be hosted. Websites are tested against multiple browsers, links are checked and forms tested.
What is a typical project timeline?
Our projects typically last anywhere from 1 week to 3 months from when we start the design process, depending on the size and complexity of the project or website. Communication is key and if you can respond to our questions/requests quickly and make timely approval decisions, the process moves fast.
Who updates my website?
Some clients prefer to have us update their website. Others would like to update their website themselves. Our CMS websites provide you with a page where you can easily add/edit/delete content on your website without any programming knowledge. Any monthly updates or maintenance is set up on a case by case basis.
Are there any monthly fees?
There are no monthly fees unless you sign up to have us provide monthly updates or maintenance to your website. Outside monthly costs required to run a website include hosting, secure server and payment processing (for eCommerce sites). We can recommend partners to you for these services at discounted rates.
Can you evaluate my existing site? and help market my site?
Yes, we offer website evaluation services to determine your existing site’s strengths/weaknesses. We also offer html email campaign services.
Who owns the copyright to the images?
Once you make your final payment, all designs and source code is yours. We reserve the right to use any designs we create for our marketing purposes. All of our websites include the credit “site by: Breo Media” with a link to our website. We make sure this credit is very small at the bottom of the page.
Can I make changes during the course of the project?
Of course. We try hard to outline your entire project in our initial proposal, but it’s impossible to plan for every detail. We accommodate all change requests that fall within the parameters of the project. If the requested changes go beyond the initial time/cost estimated we will issue a change order for your approval.
What is expected of me as a client?
For website projects we will need hosting account information, FTP access, CMS login and domain name could be needed. We will also need any supplied web images, graphic, copy, content sent to us in electronic form, preferably by email. In some cases we can start your project without all of your materials in hand, using placeholders until you deliver your information. We’ll give you a project checklist so you know what we need and when we need it.
We ask that you guarantee that all elements of text, graphics, photos, designs or other artwork are owned by you! (or that you have permission from the rightful owner to use these elements). And we need you to agree to hold us harmless and protected from any liability arising from the use of such elements. Oh, and if any of our invoices are more than 30 days past due, please agree to pay us 1.5% per month in penalty until balance is paid.
